San Diego Pride opens 2014 grant process

SAN DIEGO – San Diego Pride has announced that it is now accepting applications for its 2014 community grants, which will be distributed later this year to organizations serving the LGBT community.

“The grants are funded by proceeds from the Pride Music Festival in Balboa Park,” said Stephen Whitburn, Pride executive director. “When you buy a festival ticket, you gain admission to the biggest party in town, and you help fund community services at the same time.”

The grant process is open to 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations or those that would qualify for such status if they were to file. The deadline to apply is Oct. 31.

The grant application is available on the San Diego Pride website at sdpride.org/grants.

Individuals can have a direct impact on our grant giving by making a contribution at sdpride.org/donate.

San Diego Pride is a charitable 501(c)(3) non-profit that has distributed more than $2 million to community organizations since 1995.
