‘Nobody is born gay’ billboard stirs up controversy (VIDEO)

A contentious billboard in the the middle of Virginia’s capital claims “nobody is born gay,” reports nydailynews.com.

The sign paid for by by Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays (PFOX) uses a pair of identical twins looking down upon drivers along one of the busiest stretches of Interstate 95 through Richmond.

One of the twins is depicted by PFOX as gay, but it’s not clear which one. Regardless, the sign has stirred up controversy and LGBT groups are upset over its allegations.

“No young person or adult should be driving down the road and see something that says they are not alright as they are,” Beth Panilaitis, the executive director of Rosmy, told WWBT-TV.

  1. The “born gay” debate is a red herring. What they’re advocating is that it’s a CHOICE and that gay people can and should CHANGE. For those interested in an honest and compelling Christian lens into conversion therapy, Bryan Christopher’s memoir, “Hiding from Myself” is a great (and entertaining) resource. It should be required reading for PFOX, or for anyone considering “ex-gay” therapy, either for themselves, or their kids. http://tinyurl.com/o4frmhp
