You’ll be sent on a mission, aided by clues and mysterious cast members strewn throughout various locations such as street corners, bars, iconic landmarks and out-of-the-way spots. Groups of 10 piece together clues of a meticulously crafted plot and rely on their own street smarts to make it to the end. Who’s in on it? Who’s not? With San Diego’s hip and historic Little Italy district as a backdrop for the action, identifying cast members from civilians becomes part of the fun.

Arlo Guthrie
Born with a guitar in one hand and a harmonica in the other, Arlo Guthrie is the eldest son of America’s most beloved singer/writer/philosopher Woody Guthrie and Marjorie Mazia Guthrie, a professional dancer with the Martha Graham Dance Company. During the famous “Folk Boom” era, he witnessed the transition from an earlier generation of ballad singers to a new era of singer-song writers such as Bob Dylan, Jim Croce, Joan Baez, and Phil Ochs. He learned something from everyone and developed his own style, becoming a distinctive, expressive voice in a crowded community of singer-songwriters and political-social commentators.

Herb Turner: Realist/Idealist
Working directly from observations of daily life, Herb Turner’s carefully constructed scenes are imbued with social commentary, poignant messages and personal reflections. Informed by the sensibilities of the Regionalist art movement of the early 20th century, his paintings mostly executed in egg tempera, are insightful narratives of San Diego and American life. This significant exhibition showcases more than 50 paintings and select photographs of his architectural accomplishments.
