Judge Walker speaks at 18th annual gay, lesbian legal dinner

Vaughn R. Walker

Retired United States District Judge Vaughn R. Walker is the keynote speaker at the Tom Homann LGBT Law Association’s 18th Annual Installation Dinner and Awards Ceremony, May 12.

In last summer’s Perry v. Schwarzenegger case, Walker ruled that Proposition 8 was unconstitutional. Judge Walker is an exciting and interesting speaker, an authority on many current legal issues including media access to courtrooms.

THLA’s annual dinner is at the Omni Hotel in downtown San Diego. A cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m. The dinner will include a special performance by the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus.

The THLA dinner celebrates and recognizes the contributions of individuals who have been instrumental toward the advancement of the San Diego LGBT community. This is a black tie optional event and the public is welcomed.

Tickets must be purchased in advance. Log on to thla.org for pricing options.
