Two fastidious gay New Yorkers – one Martha Stewart’s former on-air doctor, the other an ad executive and ex-drag queen – decide to move to the country, start a farm and star in a reality show about it all. If it sounds like Queer Eye for the Straight Guy meets The Simple Life, it sort of is, but the show neither panders like the former nor is as embarrassing as the latter, though there is some pandering and you may cringe more than once.
Ultimately, it is about how Brent and Josh want to make their dream come true and keep their relationship together. They’re great characters, and while they’re more than a bit annoying when they bicker, it’s hard to stop watching.
