Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin met Friday during the G20 summit in Germany. While Russian President Putin denies any attacks on LGBTQ men in Chechnya, President Trump has simply ignored it all together. In fact, his staff even confirmed a couple weeks ago that they aren’t sure if the president was even “aware” of these attacks and reported concentration camps that have been orchestrated by the Chechen government.
With this meeting and a new BuzzFeed report suggesting the attacks have picked up once more, GLAAD sent out this tweet thread highlighting all of the world’s top political leaders who have condemned the attacks on LGBTQ men in Chechnya.
