Anti-gay groups across the country will see an increase in funding during the next two years due to a new plan called ‘Ignite an Enduring Cultural Transformation’ – an anti-civil rights campaign without a named sponsor.
The campaign will focus on Republican states and Republican supporters such as former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Rep. Trent Franks (Ariz.) among many more. The funding and subsequent campaign throughout the United States is aimed to pass anti-gay marriage amendments in addition to ending abortion rights and transgender bathrooms.
The campaign coincides with ‘Focus on the Family’ – an organization aiming to lobby for legislation, and mobilize pastors in support of conservative rights. But, a representative on behalf of Focus on the Family said the group has no affiliation with the Ignite campaign, according to sources.
States participating in the Ignite campaign include South Dakota which is spending $72,600 in the next two years to pass legislation that would require women seeking an abortion to consult with a religious counselor. Other participating states include Idaho, New Jersey, Arizona, Tennessee, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Wisconsin including other states currently seeking Ignite funds.
“Ignite may well be the most important plan we’ve ever undertaken,” wrote PFI president Michael Geer. “We want to ensure that Pennsylvania’s pro-family citizens don’t ‘go home’ thinking election results alone will stop those who undermine the timeless values you and I share. Our plan is designed to take back lost ground in the areas of life, liberty, marriage, and the family.”
Ignite will also seek to ban surrogate motherhood, civil unions, and laws that currently protect the LGBT community.
These so-called Christians wouldn’t know Christ if He shook their hands.
Christ taught us to love our neighbors not judge them. He loves us all and don’t let anyone lie to you about it.
He also said many would call in His name, we would know them by the fruits of their labors. What are the fruits of this labor of these self proclaimed Christians but hate and judgement?
