Chelsea Manning has shared a photo of herself on social media the day after she was released from military prison.
Captioning the photo, “Okay, so here I am everyone!! 😜 . . #HelloWorld” this is the first picture the public has seen of the whistle-blower in years.
Manning was sentenced Aug. 21, 2013 to 35 years in prison. Jan. 17, President Obama commuted all but four months of Manning’s remaining sentence. She has been hailed as a heroic whistle-blower by some and a traitor by others.
