Raffi Freedman-Gurspan receives Honorary Conch Certificate

Former Director for Public Engagement and Outreach and Recruitment Director for Presidential Personnel at the White House Raffi Freedman-Gurspan was presented with, an Honorary Conch Certificate Saturday, Jan. 28 by Monroe County Commissioner Heather Carruthers in Key West, Fla.

Freedman-Gurspan was the first openly transgender official to serve in the White House. Florida Keys Honorary Conch certificates are presented by the county commission to those who have made important contributions. For more than 15 years, “One Human Family” has been the official all-inclusive philosophy of both the City of Key West and Monroe County commissions.
