Local creative pros to host fundraiser for nonprofits to expand their brands

SAN DIEGO – Orange Tree Project hosts the organization’s first-ever Orange Tree Soirée on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016 at the ChuckAlek Biergarten in North Park. This special fundraising event celebrates the value of design and raise funds to provide design grants for nonprofits to become more fruitful in their community.
The Soirée begins at 6 p.m. when guests will step into a beautiful urban garden filled with fresh flowers, fruit trees, and shimmering lights and enjoy a gourmet Latin-inspired menu prepared by chef and partner Eduardo Baeza of the award-winning City Tacos and Tostadas. Craft beer from ChuckAlek Independent Brewers will be served and guests can learn about their beverage’s heritage from head brewer Grant Fraley and partner Marta Jankowska. Premier wines from Triple B Ranches and Vespar Vineyards will also be offered.
Guests will mix, mingle and bid on spectacular items featuring local artists and designers, who transform watering cans into one-of-a-kind works of art, and other exclusive items to be unveiled at the event. Attendees can also get an in-person sneak peek at the latest designs created by Orange Tree Project, such as clothing for men, women, and children as well as cards, prints, pillows, and more. Proceeds from the sale of these products also fund the design grants.
Orange Tree Project is currently self-funded and all event proceeds will ensure that the organization continues its mission. Orange Tree Project provides design grants for qualified 501c3 organizations and introduces new rules of engagement for pro bono partnerships, radically improving outcomes for all involved. Grant recipients are paired with leading creative professionals who help them stand out, reach more people and amplify their community impact. “Nonprofits and organizations for social good should have access to the best creative talent, and great design can help a nonprofit reach greater success,” says Bobby Buchanan, creator and executive director of the Orange Tree Project. “If a nonprofit is truly serious about their cause and mission, they must be serious about their brand.”
Tickets to the Orange Tree Soirée are only $50 per person in advance online, $60 per person at the door. Special group rates available for groups of 10 or more guests. Sponsorships are available. Learn more and register to attend at www.orangetreeproject.org/soiree.
