Lambda Archives has announced the following dates for their Hillcrest Historic Walking Tours. The dates to the end of the year are: Sunday, Oct. 16 at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 19 at 9:30 a.m. and Sunday, Dec. 18 at 11 a.m.
The tours are a great way to learn why Hillcrest became the center of San Diego’s gay world and much more. The walk is about 2.5 miles and will take approximately 2-2.5 hours. Good walking shoes, sunscreen, a hat and bottle of water are recommended.
The tours are $20 and that money will go to continue the work of Lambda Archives to collect, preserve and educate. Our LGBT Heritage is important–join Lambda Archives to explore the evolution of Hillcrest and help support their efforts.
