Women’s Museum of California to hold Suffrage Parade and Rally through Balboa Park, Aug. 24

Celebrate the ratification of the 19th amendment!

The 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was ratified Aug. 26, 1920. In honor of this major milestone in women’s history join the Women’s Museum of California for the 11^th annual Suffrage Parade and Rally through Balboa Park, Aug. 24.

The Suffrage Rally starts at 5 p.m. at the Organ Pavilion followed by the Suffrage Parade through the Prado and Organ Pavilion areas.

Dress up in suffrage era costumes and wave your “Vote for Women” signs. Enjoy light refreshments while listening to the Moxie San Diego Girls Band, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
