Jason Alexander
Long before becoming world renowned as the iconic George Costanza on Seinfeld, Jason Alexander was a Tony Award-winning Broadway song and dance man. His City Lights evening with the San Diego Symphony brings a hilarious re-telling of his journey to and on the Broadway stage which features a program of great music from the theater (including songs from Pippin and The Music Man) along with comedy and audience interaction. It’s a much heralded night of music, laughter and fun.

The Hillcrest Wind Ensemble
The Hillcrest Wind Ensemble Goes South Bay! The program will consist of the Mexican folk song symphony, “La Fiesta Mexicana”; and “The Sinphonians March” as well as the more modern “Cloudburst”. A jazz trio will be spotlighted with John William’s “Escapades” and one of the evening’s highlights will be the performance of “Casey at the Bat” narrated by Eric Swanson. A freewill offering is suggested for this rousing concert which will benefit both St. Mark’s and the ensemble.

Marjorie Nodelman: San Diego Artist
Marjorie Nodelman (1950-2014) was a key figure amongst the group of artists who first launched the art scene in downtown San Diego, in what was to become the Gaslamp Quarter. She got her MFA at Yale and began her artistic career in San Diego in 1975. She was active and well known in San Diego until 1992 when she re-married and moved to LA County to pursue a degree in social work.
