Grammy Award®-winning multiplatinum pop duo A Great Big World bring their Kaleidoscope 2016 North American tour to San Diego.

The group, featuring singer Ian Axel and openly gay singer Chad King, is touring in support of their recently released second album, “When The Morning Comes.” The new album features the singles “Hold Out for Each Other” and the beautiful “Oasis.”

In 2012, as students at New York University, the friends formed A Great Big World and released a six-song EP funded by Kickstarter.  It spawned the viral sensation “Everyone Is Gay” and “This Is the New Year,” which was featured on Fox’s “Glee.”

“Say Something” was their first official single in 2013 once signed to Black Magnetic/Epic Records. Its terse, tearful piano and Axel’s heavenly hypnotic vocals tugged on heartstrings, and struck a chord.  After hearing it, Christina Aguilera fell in love with the song. She collaborated with A Great Big World on a new recording of the track that they subsequently performed together on NBC’s “The Voice,” which launched it to No. 1 on iTunes in addition to going Top 10 on sales charts in 19 countries. The single also garnered A Great Big World a 2014 Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

A Great Big World performs at at The Irenic in North Park Saturday, March 19, 2016, 7:00 p.m.
