SAN DIEGO– Fire up the spotlights and start praying for a win! It’s time for Hollywood’s most glamorous and glorious night – the Academy Awards!
Yes, it’s the Gay Super Bowl day of days as the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus (SDGMC) hosts the biggest Academy Awards viewing party in San Diego Sunday, Feb. 28, 4:30 p.m. at Bombay, 3960 Fifth Avenue in Hillcrest.
SDGMC’s annual Red Carpet Party features more than $1,000 in cash and prizes including two incredible tickets to see Beyonce’s “The Formation World Tour” at Qualcomm Stadium. All guests receive a complimentary ballot to pick the winners with a chance to win more than $500 in cash and prizes for the top three best Oscar predictions.
“What could be more fun that watching the Academy Awards with the biggest movie fans in San Diego,” said SDGMC Executive Director Bob Lehman. “It’s always a great night of food, friends, fashion—and of course movies and music. And yes, we are all rooting for Lady Gaga to win for Best Song.”
Tickets are just $35 per person or $60 per couple and include a walk down the red carpet to pose for pictures by the paparazzi. Enjoy a full Bombay buffet dinner featuring the best exotic cuisine of India. The evening includes special live performances by the best of SDGMC’s singers, raffle prizes, trivia contests and lots of fun.
