Janssen Therapeutics has launched phase II of their Your Story, Your HIV Wisdom campaign.
The campaign provides space to share and showcase the wisdom of people living with or affected by HIV. Through Your Story, Your HIV Wisdom, Janssen aims to support the HIV community and empower people living with and affected by HIV to share and seek wisdom for their journey. Your Story, Your HIV Wisdom celebrates the wisdom within.
For each submission, you can direct Janssen Therapeutics to make a donation to one of 2 HIV nonprofit organizations, for a total donation of up to $10,000 per organization at the end of the campaign. Limit of one incremental donation for each type of wisdom submitted – text, audio, visual, or video.
Leading HIV activists Guy Anthony, Maria Mejia and Josh Robbins are serving as advisors to the campaign and will work with Janssen to select the wisdom they find impactful to be highlighted on the Web site monthly.

My name is Angelena Cortello. I have had HIV for 12 years. At first, I wasn’t open about it out of fear of rejection. When I decided to use that part of my life to make a difference, I was surprised at the support I received. Most of my fears were in my head. My HIV Wisdom for you is to not make decisions based on fear but on how you can help others live with it victoriously and help prevent the spread of the disease by letting people know to love themselves enough to protect themselves.

My name is John Strangis and I’m a heterosexual man living with HIV. HIV/AIDS is a condition that affects us all; gay, straight, Latino, black, white; you name it. If you have never been tested for HIV, I would highly recommend you do so because not only you are taking control of your own health, but you are protecting yourself and the ones you love in the process.
