The San Diego LGBT Community Center’s Masquerade event has been rescheduled. Originally planned for this coming Friday the event will now be a Mardi Gras celebration Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016.
Announcing the change in an email, Dr. Delores Jacobs, CEO of The Center wrote:
As a result of recent unexpected community events, at the requests of some mourners for more time to grieve, and out of respect for the Celebration of Life for Kurt Cunningham on Sunday, Nov. 1, The Center will reschedule its new Masquerade event as a Mardi Gras celebration on Thursday, February 11, 2016.
All sponsors and ticket purchasers will be offered the opportunity to attend and/or sponsor the rescheduled event on Thursday, February 11, 2016 or, alternatively, to have their purchase refunded.
Community members who have not yet purchased their tickets or sponsorships can purchase tickets or sponsorships for the new date at http://events.thecentersd.org/masquerade.
The Kurt Cunningham Celebration of Life will be held at The Center on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 2 pm.
