Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils that can help aid in a number of ways. These essential oils are found in plants within their flowers, bark, wood, or peel.
There are numerous studies out there that have shown that using essential oils can have a massive impact on your health and mind. Holland and Barrett, the UK’s leading retailer of vitamins, minerals and herbal supplements, have used this research for their latest infographic which looks at which essential oils you can use to manage your mood and emotions.
For example, wild orange oil can help inspire creativity and restore your physical energy. This can therefore help support a positive mood and help anyone who is feeling discouraged or low on energy. Peppermint, meanwhile, can help to invigorate the mind and help anyone who is feeling a little bit pessimistic in their life.
There are numerous different ways that you can use oils to your advantage, whilst diffusers, burners and sprays can be just as effective nothing quite beats a bath after a long day. Adding a couple of drops (dependent on the oil) into a cocktail of honey, vegetable oil and whole milk will make the oil perfect for a soak – just be sure to not add the oils too early otherwise they will evaporate before you can even enjoy them.
Take a read of the infographic below if you could do with relaxing and finding some calming inspiration.
