Mark Knopfler
Mark Knopfler is best known as the lead guitarist, vocalist and songwriter for Dire Straits, which he co-founded with his brother, David Knopfler in 1977. Since Dire Straits disbanded in 1995, Knopfler has recorded and produced seven solo albums spawning many hit songs. He is a fingerstyle guitarist and was ranked 27th on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of 100 greatest guitarists of all time. A four-time Grammy winner, Knopfler has recorded and performed with many prominent musicians, including Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison and James Taylor just to name a few.

Two Artist Show: Carole Mathios and Linda Smyth
Carole Mathios’ love of nature can be seen in her realistic and abstract watercolor, acrylic and mixed media paintings. Her subjects include underwater scenes, landscapes, wild animals, flowers, still life and seascapes. Linda Smyth paints in watercolor and acrylics, her subjects range from tide pools to Balboa Park.
