Six Flags Magic Mountain’s annual Out on the Mountain Gay Night returns Friday, Sept. 18, with a fun night of stellar live performances, thrill rides, and multiple dance parties. The entire park goes gay for the night, which provides a safe and inclusive environment for the LGBTQ community to celebrate the first year of nationwide same-sex marriage.
Out on the Mountain, which started in 2008, is the creation of Six Flags Magic Mountain and Ray Rhodes. Over 6,000 people are expected to attend this eighth annual Southern California gay event of thrill rides and dance party fun, while raising funds for local gay charities and organizations. The entire park is closed to the general public for this private LGBT party from 6pm-1am.
“We are very excited to bring a special night where LGBT of all ages can enjoy time together for a festive evening with fun music and performers, exciting rides, and many good memories to be made,” says Ray Rhodes. “Each year, the event impacts many people in the community, because of how also it helps so many worthwhile LGBT organizations and charities.”
Attendees will enjoy the Magic Mountain park with thrill rides including Six Flags Magic Mountain’s latest roller coaster Twisted Colossus, along with Full Throttle, Lex Luthor: Drop of Doom, Green Lantern: First Flight, Superman: Escape from Krypton, Batman the Ride, Tatsu, Apocalypse, The Riddler’s Revenge, and X2.
