SAN DIEGO – AIDS Walk & Run San Diego has announced that Coca-Cola will be a sponsor of the 26th annual event, scheduled for Sat., Sept. 26. The company will distribute free bottles of Coca-Cola beverages, including Dasani water, ZICO Premium Coconut Water and Hubert’s Lemonade at several locations along the walk and run route.
“We are deeply grateful for the support and generosity of Coca-Cola,” said Ian Johnson, director of special events at The San Diego LGBT Community Center. AIDS Walk & Run San Diego is a program of The Center. “This is an active event, with over 8,000 walkers and runners. By distributing beverages, not only is Coca-Cola helping our participants stay hydrated, they are enabling more of our fundraising resources to go directly to San Diego’s vital HIV services and programs.”
Each year, AIDS Walk & Run San Diego generates crucial funding for local HIV/AIDS service organizations, honors those lost to this disease and helps raise awareness about HIV/AIDS in our community.
