Would a family ever disown their gay son for NOT having a ‘Gay Wedding’? Matthew Ware created a comedy sketch exploring what would happen if a gay couple refused their supportive family’s demand to plan a wedding.
“The SCOTUS same-sex marriage ruling is a symbolic message of equality everyone in the LGBT community should celebrate,” said Ware. “However, some of us aren’t excited about the sudden pressure to throw a grandiose event if we’ve been in a relationship for more than a few years. Especially when gay men are often stereotyped as talented wedding planners. This silly comedy sketch I created explores what happens when a family demands their gay son to plan a gay wedding despite his refusal.”
