The Hillcrest Wind Ensemble (HWE) presents its 2015 Cabaret Concert, Hollywood Hits Friday, June 26, at 8 p.m., in the Mississippi Room at the Lafayette Hotel, 2223 El Cajon Blvd. in San Diego. The ensemble will perform movie themes and hit songs from movies spanning seven decades from the 1930s to 1990s. Highlights will include music from Gone With The Wind, Wizard of Oz, and The Sound of Music, and classic themes from James Bond and Star Wars to name a few. The evening will feature raffle prizes and a no host bar.
This is truly a fitting venue as many of the Hollywood stars in the ‘40s would come and stay at the hotel and attend events in the ballroom. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. with complimentary hors d’oeuvres, and concert at 8 p.m. This Tinseltown extravaganza is sure to please any movie lover or lover of great music.
