Community advocate and local politician Kevin Melton has announced his confirmed candidacy in the upcoming election for California’s 78th District State Assembly seat in 2016. Melton is a familiar face in San Diego. As a member of the “Kevin Faulconer for Mayor” campaign finance committee, Melton successfully cultivated significant partnerships with many organizations in San Diego. Melton states, he is “willing to do what is right, not what is easy.”
His candidacy in the 2014 election won him a comparatively high percentage of votes; his ethic and drive were propelled by the experience. Melton is a hard worker who supports fiscal responsibility with tax dollars, the assurance of adequate care for all citizens, and the preservation of the safety and beauty of the community.
