Receiving the award on behalf of SDGMC were President Bob Lehman, Vice President David Pierce and Artistic Director RC Haus.
“We are so incredibly grateful to the San Diego Human Dignity Foundation and to everyone who supports the performing arts in our community,” noted Pierce. “It is with this financial endowment that we are able change lives one voice at a time through music.”
The grant will help SDGMC produce its 30th Anniversary Year kickoff show Greatest Hits—Volume One on April 18 and 19 at the Balboa Theatre. Special funding will go directly toward the launching of the SD Youth Pride Chorus, SDGMC’s new group for singers ages 13 to 22. This all-inclusive and affirming group will premiere at the spring show. Tickets are on sale now at www.sdgmc.org or by calling (619) 570-1100.
