The season finale of the much-buzzed about Showtime soap opera will probably not answer the key question of the show: Will Noah (Dominic West) and Alison (Ruth Wilson) end up together, dump their spouses (Maura Tierney and Joshua Jackson, respectively), and live unhappily ever after? If it’s answered, there won’t be a second season, after all. The show has an innovative structure, with one half of each episode from the perspective of Noah, the other from Alison. There’s a weird he said/she said quality to it, making us choose sides, but it also makes an interesting comment on memory. The acting and writing are quite great, but I’m not sure if anyone on the show is likable, even if the drama is extremely watchable.
