LGBT Veterans Wall of Honor Induction Ceremony

Join the San Diego LGBT Community Center to recognize LGBT veterans with ties to San Diego who have taken the oath to serve our country and have done so honorably and with distinction, acting as role models in advancing equality. This year’s honorees are John Carlos Keasler, Robert A. Lehman, Thomas Joseph Seguine, Dennis Michael Fiordaliso, Robert Hall “Jess” Jessop and Frank Stefano. The evening will include a brief program and light refreshments.

San Diego Asian Film Festival

For its 15th anniversary, the San Diego Asian Film Festival (SDAFF) will showcase over 140 films from 21 countries at a record nine different venues in San Diego from Nov. 6-15. The LGBT Dignity pass includes admission to all 11 LGBT films at a reduced rate. LGBT Film Programs include the following: Ultrastar Mission Valley: Anita’s Last Cha-Cha, Appropriate Behavior, Eat With Me, Kumu Hina, Limited Partnership, Shorts: Gay of Thrones. This collection of rare 20th to 21st century vintage Italian [and other European] posters consists of original first and second printings of lithographs by diverse poster artists including Boccasile, Razzia, etc. Vintage Italian posters from 1895 to 1940, long undervalued and neglected, are today increasingly appreciated and sought after by collectors. A renaissance for collecting these graphics has created a renewed look at this art form.

The Nick & Knight Tour

Nick & Knight is an eponymous collaborative album by American singer-songwriters Nick Carter and Jordan Knight, under the collective stage name of Nick & Knight. Carter and Knight’s respective bands, the Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block, have previously collaborated on an album entitled NKOTBSB, and also went out on a joint tour between 2011 and 2012 as supergroup NKOTBSB. The pair will perform material from their album Nick & Knight as well as songs by both the Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block.

A Few Small Nips – A Tribute to Frida Kahlo

ArtHatch and Distinction Gallery are excited to present a group exhibition curated by June Leeloo entitled A Few Small Nips, a tribute to Frida Kahlo. This exhibit will highlight art by figurative and urban-surrealists such as Aaron Jasinski, Edith Lebeau, Brianna Angelakis and more. All artwork will be inspired by or pay tribute to the late Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.
