Shonda Rhimes’ new show is more Scandal than Gray’s Anatomy, and that’s perfect fine with me. Led by two-time Oscar nominee Viola Davis as a brilliant, cynical and sexy law professor, the show revolves around her cases and her students who help her win them. Everyone is morally and ethically impaired and has lots of sex, which makes for delightful plot twists and, because it’s Rhimes, epic and breathless monologues. The first episode features simulated heterosexual cunnilingus, homosexual analingus, a murder and lawyers breaking at least a dozen laws to help someone get away with murder. I am hooked.
