SAN DIEGO — San Diego LGBT Pride announced today its new executive team for the 2015-2017 term. First term co-chairs, Romer De Los Santos and Tiffany Gonzalez, have won re-election. Jaime Carrillo will continue as board secretary. Newcomer and current chair of board development, Steven Kilgore, was elected as Pride’s new treasurer.
Romer De Los Santos is an experienced project manager and comes with strong institution knowledge having previously served Pride as chair of board development, chair of policy and strategic planning, and board secretary. Tiffany Gonzalez, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, is a rising young leader and has previously served as Pride’s chair of board development. Jaime Carrillo is a leader in non-profit management, an advocate for access to health care, and has been key in driving forward the organization’s long term strategic plan. Steven Kilgore, is one of Pride’s newest board members, current chair of board development, and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
In reaction to his election as Pride’s new treasurer Steven Kilgore said, “I am honored to have been elected as treasurer and I will help us strive to be the transparent organization the community deserves.”
“I’m excited to build on the progress we have made together in stabilizing and growing the organization,” stated Tiffany Gonzalez after the elections during the August board meeting.
“The executive committee is an experienced, well balanced and cohesive team,” observed Romer De Los Santos. “We are focused on helping Pride achieve its strategic objectives and mission to foster pride in and respect for all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities locally and globally.”
The board of directors of San Diego LGBT Pride invites the community to attend the Post Pride Town Hall scheduled for Sept. 8 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in The Center’s auditorium as well its monthly board meeting held on the third Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Pride Office located at 3620 30thStreet in North Park.
