HRC takes three awards at SXSW

Last night, the Human Rights Campaign made history as the first organization or business to take home three awards from the South By Southwest (SXSW) Interactive Awards Ceremony.

SXSW and its judges honored HRC as the 2013 leader of digital design and innovation with the awards for Best of Show, Digital Campaign of the Year and Social Media for the viral red marriage equality campaign in early 2013. In particular, the Best in Show award “verifies a company’s position at the top echelon of digital design and innovation.”

SXSW, an international film, music and interactive festival, draws thousands of industry leaders from around the world to share ideas and connect. SXSW is renown as the birthplace of cutting-edge trends in the digital community and recognizes landmark moments over the past year that have reshaped our understanding of events and popular culture.

HRC is proud to accept this award on behalf of the millions that stood in support of marriage equality in the lead up to the historic 2013 Supreme Court hearings.
