Survey for people living with HIV/AIDS: call for respondents

The San Diego HIV Health Services Planning Council is responsible for planning services for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) in San Diego County and for allocating funding for these services under the federal Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Extension Act of 2009 (RWTEA). The San Diego County HIV Prevention Group guides the planning process for the utilization of HIV prevention funds that are funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The survey of people living with HIV/AIDS is one of the tools that the Planning Council and the Prevention Group use to gather information on the needs of the community. The survey offers an opportunity for people living with HIV/AIDS to provide input on the services and information they need to maintain or improve their health.

We would like to hear everyone’s voice on their specific needs and we are asking all persons living with HIV/AIDS to help us by filling out a survey and encouraging other people living with HIV to do the same. Here is your opportunity to offer some guidance to the planning bodies that are charged with representing your needs.

Taking part in the survey allows you to have a positive impact on the health and welfare of all PLWHA. The survey can be completed on a paper version or online. You can access the survey at (put link here).
