I stopped watching Revenge, ABC’s horribly silly retribution soap opera, last year when I realized the chief avenger Emily (Emily VanCamp) was rather inconsistent with her avenging. I kept wondering why she hadn’t been able to take out her enemies the Graysons in the first few episodes. But then the show wouldn’t have been able to stay on the air. Well, now I’m interested again because the producers have upped the gayness. Emily’s co-conspirator, the hilarious and effete Nolan (Gabriel Mann) is having a torrid affair with Victoria Grayson’s (Madeleine Stowe) illegitimate son Patrick, played by Justin Hartley, best known for being the oft shirtless Green Arrow in Smallville. Soap opera homosex is a reason to click record.
I have watched Revenge religiously through the fourth season and even through it’s Jan 5, 2013 premiere. I am shocked at how terrible this show has gotten. I kept hoping that it would make an amazing comeback and put Emily at the top and in control again. But this amnesia crap is ridiculous!! We waited 4 seasons to just watch Emily lose her memory and forget everything she has done to this point?!? I’m over this show now. No more! Do yourself a favor and stop watching Revenge. Prove to the writers what a huge mistake they made in going the direction they have with the story. My vote: Cancel Revenge
