House of Versace tells the story of the rise of Gianni Versace (Enrico Colantoni) and the aftermath of his murder (by gay spree killer Andrew Cunanan), when his sister Donatella took over his famed fashion line. Gina Gershon’s Donatella could be iconic, and the trailer for the movie is one of the funniest minutes of video I’ve seen in quite a while. Gershon, who is probably best known for being the only actor in Showgirls to know she was in a camp masterpiece, has an absurd vampire accent, inflated lips and lines like “If you want to put me on a leash, it better be diamond-studded or you can kiss my ass” and “I was always crazy, even before the drugs.”
