While a bunch of people stopped watching The Killing – the moody, slow and rainy series about murder detectives in Seattle – after they failed to reveal who killed Rose Larsen at the end of season 1, I suggest you return, either on TV or DVD. This past season, the third, was stellar, not only because of the continued brilliance of leads Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman, but also because of Peter Sarsgaard as a death row inmate and Bex Taylor-Klaus as a teen lesbian runaway named Bullet. This season is focused on a serial killer preying on street kids, and the show does a great job of showing the plights of homeless queer kids. Oh, and the show is suspenseful and fun, too.
