AIDS Walk announces double match fundraising opportunities

AIDS Walk has changed its grant process, providing local HIV/AIDS service organizations the opportunity to earn double matching grants for this year’s event!

Thanks to dedicated and generous community support, AIDS Walk has raised awareness and funds for more than two decades, and the event has evolved with the epidemic. AIDS Walk and the San Diego Human Dignity Foundation have developed this matching grant program to continue to provide opportunities for HIV/AIDS service organizations to raise much-needed funds through this incredibly valuable community event.

Each HIV/AIDS service organization who registers an AIDS Walk team with at least 10 runners, walkers, and/or Street Challenge participants is eligible. AIDS Walk will provide the platform, tools and technology to outreach and raise funds. Participating agencies will get back 85 percent of the funds they raise, and teams that raise at least $2,500 will be eligible for matching funds from AIDS Walk up to $10,000 per team. In addition, teams raising at least $2,500 (not including the AIDS Walk match) will also be eligible for an additional match from the San Diego Human Dignity Foundation up to an additional $10,000 per team.
