Step aside, Green Lantern: there’s a sexy new superhero headed for the spotlight. Adrianne Palicki (of NBC’s “Friday Night Lights” and the upcoming “Red Dawn”) will star as the wristband-sporting, tiara-wearing Wonder Woman in a contemporary take on DC Comics classic.
The show’s pilot – written by “Ally McBeal” creator David E. Kelley and directed by Jefferey Reiner – features Palicki as Diana Prince, a successful Los Angeles corporate executive juggling work, romance…and a crime-fighting alter-ego with a passion for vigilante justice. “Wonder Woman” is a production of Warner Bros. Television and David. E Kelley Productions. Kelley and Bill D’Elia (of “Boston Legal” and “The Practice”) are the executive producers of the series.
Will Palicki’s “Wonder Woman” rope a new audience while keeping classic comics fans content? Keep an eye out for the pilot to find out!
