Gustavo Romero
Concert pianist Romero, a San Diego native with Guadalajara heritage, has a stellar reputation for both the technical brilliance and interpretive depth of his playing, as well as his commitment to in-depth exploration of individual composers. His first performance with the New York Philharmonic was at age 13, and he has since played with orchestras around the world, including the LA Philharmonic, Atlanta, Houston, Boston Pops, Russian Symphony Orchestra, Radio France Orchestra, English Chamber Orchestra, and more.

Masterworks in Metal, Ink and Silk from the Suzhou Museum
Showcasing 21 objects from the Suzhou Museum this exhibition highlights selections from China’s long and rich cultural history. Located only 66 miles west of Shanghai, Suzhou is often called the “Venice of China” because of its numerous canals intertwining the historic dwellings and gardens of its illustrious residents. Exhibited alongside the museum’s state of the art new display The Art of East Asia the selection of works has been made specifically to complement those of the museum’s permanent collection.
