One of the funniest shows on TV, Happy Endings is basically an updated, more racially and sexually diverse version of Friends.
While Chandler was originally supposed to come out but never did, after Matthew Perry refused to do it, one the main characters on Happy Endings started out actually gay, and he’s easily the most un-stereotypical on TV right now. Max, played by Adam Pally, is a slobby, rootless card. He’s cubby and cute, and he drives a vintage limo. And ABC lets him kiss guys on the lips.
The show also features Damon Wayans Jr. as the fastidious and hilarious husband of the alpha female Eliza Coupe. Start watching if you haven’t already.
