San Diego’s only LGBT comedy show returns Sept. 13 with a line-up featuring Sean Wherley, Bijan Mostafavi, Lauren Holiday, Sarah Burford, and headliner Teddy Margas. The Laugh Out Proud Comedy Show begins at 8 p.m. and is held at Martinis Above Fourth, 3940 Fourth Ave. in San Diego.
Margas is a comedian and actor who has performed across California and the United States, including in Los Angeles at the Comedy Store, the Laugh Factory and The Improv. He’s currently starring in an all-male stage production of the Meryl Streep monologues, called Streep Tease, and is the co-founder of the Queers of Comedy, a trio of gay comics who tour the country.
The Laugh Out Proud Comedy Show is restricted to ages 18 and older. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the door or at martinisabovefourth.com
Doors open at 6 p.m. for pre-show dinner and drinks.
The Laugh Out Proud Comedy Show is produced by San Diego comedians Sean Wherley and Sarah Burford, and is designed to showcase the region’s top LGBT and allied comedians in a safe environment for the LGBT community. v
