Women of Color United and Women’s Resource Center present Voices Of Color: Speaking From The Center, a people of color poetry and spoken word night Friday, Aug. 31, 6-9 p.m. at The San Diego LGBT Community Center, 3909 Centre Street in San Diego.
Cost of entrance will be $5 or a book donation to the M. Corrine Mackey people of color section. Children’s books are also welcome!
Corrine “Martie” Mackey was an African American lesbian activist and a writer who focused her entire life on unifying the individual oppressed communities she embodied.
