An evening with Carlo Curley
The 25th anniversary Summer International Organ Festival continues with Carlo Curley, dubbed by the press The Pavarotti of the Organ. Curley, celebrating his 40th year of classical organ performance, is one of the world’s foremost concert organists. Born into a musical family in North Carolina in 1952, he attended the North Carolina School of the Arts and coached privately with renowned pedagogues Arthur Poister and Robert Elmore. Ultimately, he studied with two of the world’s greatest organists: America’s legendary Virgil Fox and Great Britain’s Sir George Thalben-Ball.

Under Alien Seas
An artists’ conception of life beyond our planet. Informed by his interest in bioluminescence, the possibility of life on other planets and underwater scientific expeditions, William Leslie, created a unique series of light sculptures. Installed on the ceiling of the Oceanside Museum of Art lobby, these organic light sculptures mimic the fantastical creatures that live underwater.
