The Black Storytellers of San Diego (BSSD) present The Things They Carried, a closing ceremony honoring veterans featuring master storytellers Victoria Burnett and Mitch “Gran’ daddy Junebug” Capel Tuesday, June 26 6 p.m. at the USS Midway museum, 910 N. Harbor Drive in San Diego.
BSSD is a 501c3 organization and its mission is to promote storytelling through education and entertainment, inspire through the power of the word, and keep African American culture and tradition alive and connected to the present through the telling and teaching of stories.
