In support of LGBT people nationwide, the White House has initiated a “White House LGBT Update” email newsletter under the management of Gautam Raghavan, Office of Public Engagement. The update comes in wake of “President Obama’s continued commitment to progress for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community,” as the email explains.

The newsletter will consist of updates surrounding LGBT people and the issues that may affect lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans.

  1. Dear Editor, I am a retired teacher and a senior citizen of 68 years old. I hAve bee raped by two men claiming to be transgenders. Unfortunately, I had to stay in a San Francisco shelter for a couple of months. These men were on the women’s floors claiming to be transgenders. I was raped several times while I slept. You need to know that this pretense to get among women is going on. Sincerely, BEtty Tillman
