Just as waves subsided for fallen U.S. Representative Anthony Weiner, more splashes in the political sex arena take center stage this week as Puerto Rican Senator Roberto Arango is revealed to have taken naughty naked pictures of himself and posting them online, according to reports at Primera Hora, a Spanish-speaking news affiliate.
The Senator was (allegedly) caught red-handed after posting nude photos of himself on the popular gay cruising app, Grindr. Aired on Puerto Rican national TV, the pictures were said to have been downloaded from the site according to reports from Dando Candela – the popular Puerto Rican TV show.
When asked about the pictures — one of which included the Senator bent over on a bed, with a camera pointed into a mirror capturing his exposed rear end in the photograph — the Senator did not confirm nor deny the photos. But, the Senator did allude to taking photos in wake of substantial weight loss, explaining:
“You know I’ve been losing weight. As I shed that weight, I’ve been taking pictures. I don’t remember taking this particular picture but I’m not gonna say I didn’t take it. I’d tell you if I remembered taking the picture but I don’t.”
In wake of the revealed photos, the Senator has resigned from his post by issuing a letter of resignation, effective today.
