Ellen DeGeneres wasn’t included on the original star-studded guest list for the highly-publicized Kardashian-Humphries wedding this weekend; but never one to shy away from an awkward situation, the openly lesbian talk show host simply took matters into her own hands – via Twitter.
“No invitation to @KimKardashian’s wedding yet,” DeGeneres tweeted on the eve of the Montecito, CA celebration. “#WorstThingInTheWorld.”
According to E! Online, Kardashian was quick to make amends, tweeting “Of course you are invited!!! COME!” – to which DeGeneres replied, “’Tomorrow?! I have absolutely nothing to wear!”
DeGeneres has used similar tactics in response to celebrity wedding snubs in the past. Earlier this year, she reportedly cornered comedic star Russell Brand during a televised interview and casually mentioned the fact that she hadn’t received an invite to his and singer Katy Perry’s lavish wedding – an event mere days away at the time of the interview.
In response, Brand quickly noted the Ellen and her “misses” (actress Portia de Rossi) were “most welcome.” However, the couple ultimately opted out.
