Looking for something to do tonight? Two exciting events are set to take place this evening in Hillcrest, both of which offer guests the chance to wine, dine and mingle, all while giving back to the local community. From silent auctions and wine tasting to a bus tour of Hillcrest’s most popular restaurants and lounges, the “Toast to Hillcrest” and Mama’s Kitchen’s 16th Annual Wine Tasting Event are sure to satisfy every taste.
The 5th Annual “Toast to Hillcrest” fundraiser for the Hillcrest History Guild features fine wine, spirits and a variety of delicious gourmet snacks. Reserved for guests 21 and older, the event’s $25 admission fee includes a double-decker bus tour of Hillcrest’s hottest cocktail lounges, wine bars, pubs and restaurants, as well as entry to each location. All proceeds support the Guild’s mission to create a virtual museum of online history at HillcrestHistory.org.
Tickets for the “Toast to Hillcrest” will be available at the door for cash prior to the event. The Guild will sell just 100 tickets tonight, so guests are reminded to arrive early to ensure admission to this exciting event.
Mama’s Kitchen’s 16th Annual Wine Tasting Event is also scheduled for this evening, featuring eclectic wine tasting with pours throughout the evening, delicious tray-passed hors d’oeuvres, and a “Lucky Ticket” silent auction for a number of indulgent gift packages. Proceeds benefit Mama’s Kitchen, a local non-profit organization that prepares and delivers three free meals a day, seven days a week, to men, women and children affected by AIDS, HIV or cancer.
Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate to the Mama’s Kitchen Pantry – and those who bring five items or more will receive free entry to the Wine Bottle Ring Toss for a chance to win free wine.
