NBC announced that Former Will & Grace star Sean Hayes will join the cast of a new sitcom that follows the story of two gay men who struggle to raise their 12-year-old son.
Although the show is still in the development stages, NBC has made progress toward reaching a deal with Hayes, who is reportedly working on the comedy with his partner and writer Michael Wimer.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the upcoming project was announced earlier this month, and has since gained the support of Rescue Me co-creator Peter Tolan, who will serve as the show’s executive producer. Hayes and Wimer will work alongside Tolan to write and produce the show, which is set for production through Universal Media Studios and Sony Pictures TV.
NBC has yet to release detailed information on the upcoming comedy, but the network has confirmed that the show will focus on gay parenting.
