In a recent interview with US Magazine, openly gay pop singer Adam Lambert commented on his relationship with boyfriend Sauli Koskinen, putting to rest rumors that the two might get married. Although many expect a number of gay celebrities to tie the knot in light of New York’s recent gay marriage legislation, Lambert noted that he and his boyfriend won’t be among them – at least not anytime soon.
When asked about his relationship with Koskinen, Lambert expertly dodged the questions, saying, “I don’t like to talk about my relationship so if you see pictures of us out to dinner together, then great!”
The fiercely private couple reportedly began dating early in 2011 after meeting in a Finland club following one of Lambert’s shows.
As for questions about the American Idol alum’s intent to marry his Finnish beau, he answered, “I don’t see myself getting married in the future.”
However, Lambert posted a tweet shortly after the interview suggesting that he hasn’t completely written off the idea of marriage. He clarified his comment, stating simply, “Not in the NEAR future. Get it right.”
