The “Toast to Hillcrest” fundraiser for the Hillcrest History Guild returns to San Diego’s vibrant LGBT neighborhood this year on August 18, 2011. Featuring wine, spirits and gourmet snacks from a variety of local purveyors, the fifth annual event is designed to help support the Guild’s mission to create a virtual museum of online history at HillcrestHistory.org.
Participation in the event is limited to guests 21 and over, and includes entry to many of Hillcrest’s most popular cocktail lounges, wine bars, pubs and restaurants for select tastes and toasts. A double-decker bus will be available to transport attendees throughout the neighborhood until 9 pm.
Tickets for the “Toast to Hillcrest” event are $19 through the end of July and $25 in August, and can be purchased online, at CityFest or at the event itself (though quantities will be limited on the night of the fundraiser).
