The San Diego Museum of Art is the only U.S. museum to show From El Greco to Dalí: Great Spanish Masters from the Pérez Simón Collection. This spectacular survey of Spanish art from the 16th century to the 1970s features 64 works drawn from one of the world’s finest private collections. From the golden age of Charles V and through the modern period, this exhibition showcases such acclaimed masters of the Spanish school as El Greco, Ribera, Murillo, Goya, Sorolla, Picasso, Dalí and Miró.

Summer international organ festival
Austrian concert organist Helmuth Luksch performs in concert at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park. Luksch is principal organist at the Main City Parish Church St. Egid in Klagenfurt, Austria as well as the artistic director for Kufstein, Tyrol, the world’s largest outdoor organ.

Manny Farber – Selected Works
Quint Contemporary Art presents an exhibition of artwork from the estate of Manny Farber. The exhibition comprises of approximately 20 selected drawings and paintings, featuring key works completed over the course of Farber’s painting career. The works will highlight Farber’s passion for painting, film and the visual world in general. His cultivation of a tabletop working process can be traced from his earliest paintings of the everyday objects on his desk, like cigarettes and candy, to his later paintings with images including everything from art books, rebar and flowers from the garden of his wife, Patricia.
